James Webb Space Telescope 2026 Wall Calendar

After 17 years of construction and testing at a cost of $10 billion, the James Webb Space Telescope was launched into space on Christmas day in 2021. With 18 hexagonal mirrors measuring a total of 21 feet across, it can view objects up to 100 times fainter than what Hubble can detect. It has already provided fascinating new insight into the formation of the first galaxies, possible life on alien planets, and countless other astronomical mysteries.

This 12-month calendar contains many of the first images ever taken by the James Webb telescope. It provides the dates of major astronomical events, including moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, meteor showers, and moon-planet conjunctions. Most of these otherworldly events can be seen by casual observers here on Earth. Since NASA has not officially released most images, the publisher, professional space photographer Grant Collier, dug deep to find the best images processed by the public and has also processed images themselves.

The calendar is printed on thick paper with a varnish to prevent writing from showing through to the next month.
